February – The Month that Never Was

Filed under: My Things — by sunflowersreflections @ 4:03 pm

So, I never posted in February.  I had lots of planned posts, complaining the about various crap that happened.  The snow storm in which I ran the Turd Mobile into a tree.  The snow and cold and more snow and more snow.  How our home computer crashed.  The snow.  The three weeks it took for the Turd Mobile to be fixed, and how the date kept getting pushed back.  Essay reviewing.  The future being a complete unknown.  Annoyance.  The snow.  So ANY WAY February SUCKED – I am just ready to move on.

It is now almost half way through March.  Today it is 50 degrees out.  Spring is right around the corner.  Hubby’s applications are out (more on that when more is known).

We did finally get a chance to ENJOY the snow during a one-day ski trip – in MARCH.  (See February: Bad, March: Good)

This week my MIL and I went to Ladies Spa night at the local Melting Pot.  If there is one near you, I would HIGHLY suggest going.  They had mini-manicures, massages, make-up application, eye brow shaping, etc.  Then there was a three course fondue dinner – cheese, entree, and dessert.  The whole thing was $37/person (before tax and gratuity).  There are three more occurring – Schaumburg on 3/17, Chicago on 3/24, and Buffalo Grove on 3/31.

Over the weekend we visited some Pharm school friend in Grand Rapids.  It was a great time.  Lots of Rockband was played.  We spent an evening at Founders.  Had an afternoon of bowling.  On the way home it snowed, but we are not going to talk about that.

Over all – very happy that February is over and therefore hoping to be back on a more regular basis!
