Sampling – Check

Filed under: Daily Reflections,NaBloPoMo — by sunflowersreflections @ 6:03 pm

Today I completed the first part of my masters project.  It only took a few hours in the cold (high 30’s F), wind, and rain; walking around thigh deep water; and shoving my arms into the water up to my elbows.  Did I mention it was cold? and raining?

After the sampling processing (labeling, packaging, etc.) was complete, I treated the undergrad student that was helping me to lunch.  We had a SEVEN cheese pizza – wow, that was good.  ESY would LOVE it.  Then it was home for a HOT shower and nap.

Shortly, hubby and I will be leaving to attend Novemberfest hosted by Land her husband.  The beer L and I brewed for the Queen of Beer competition will be on tap.  Click here for a full listing of what will be available.

Don’t call me early tomorrow morning.

  4. […] I had rented a car for the weekend’s sampling trip, as I did not really want to ride around in my car in wet chest waders.  I had to return the car this morning.  The car was rented from the place that picks you up, so I was planning on dropping it off and having them drive me to the closest train station.  This is where everything went wrong.  I set my alarm clock for pm instead of am – so I woke up eight minutes after the placed opened, instead of being there by then.  I ran down stairs, grabbed my train schedule out of my bag and figured out when I needed to leave.  I showered quickly and got out the door.
